Please put your phone on silent mode before a session begins.
-
For Tai Chi sessions, wear comfortable clothing, preferably flat-soled shoes and bring a bottle of water as well as a small snack.
-
Sessions are designed to focus your attention, open and expand your body, creating a characteristic form of internal pressure. Refrain from distractions during the exercises to maximize your gains.
-
Classes usually involve physical touch to correct the body structure and improve the shapes and movements. Please notify the instructor if you have any particular preferences or wish to avoid touch.
-
Partner exercises are designed to be cooperative so you can improve your skills with the live feedback of a partner.
-
As a result of stretching and accessing areas of the body that have not moved for long periods of time, sometimes decades, nausea, dizziness, painful sensations, tingling and other phenomena are expected to occur and typically resolve in seconds or minutes. Simply notify the instructor if you feel concerned, need some rest, or have a question.
-
Any kind of physical activity carries a degree of risk. Please consult with your physician before participating in a class.
